STUDIO BUILD

Opportunity overview

Update and improve Oak's Studio system so that it works with the new curriculum database. This includes moving existing Studio functionality from the old database to the new one, making the necessary system changes so information can be read, updated and saved correctly, and completing agreed priority improvements. The aim is for Studio to continue working in the same way for users while the underlying technology is moved to the new system. This work is a continuation of the Studio and curriculum2 migration that the supplier has already been working on. They have detailed knowledge of Oak's existing systems and the technical decisions made so far. Moving to a new supplier at this stage would mean they would first need to understand the existing systems and work already completed before they could continue the migration. This would duplicate work, add time and cost, and increase delivery risk. For this specific phase of the work, Oak has not identified a reasonable alternative that would avoid these issues.
