London Underground Limited (LUL) engineering and maintenance is managed by Transport for London (TfL), the public body running the Tube, with the LUL Asset Performance Directorate overseeing the actual upkeep, renewal, and modernisation of its vast, historic infrastructure (tracks, signals, stations) using in-house teams and external specialist contractors.
