Opportunity overview

This tender includes requirement for leisure management services for 5 secondary schools, one having a sixth form included. Full details for each school can be located at Attachment 2 Client Data within the tender pack. There are a number of LGPS staff included within the large volume of inhouse staff currently servicing this contract. Details can be found at Attachment 4. Further information on the Client’s requirements can be found at Attachment 1 Specification and Attachment 2 Client Data. The Contract period will be for 8 years initially, with the option to extend for a further two years at the discretion of the Client. The estimated contract value for this contract over the full potential 10-year period is £17,000,000 EX VAT.

Features
This competitive flexible procedure will be conducted in three stages. The three stages are set out in detail in the tendering documentation, and summarised briefly below: 1) Stage 1 - Invitation to Participate. Suppliers are invited to request to participate in the tender by completing the required Stage 1 response documentation. Suppliers will be assessed in line with the Conditions of Participation set out in the Stage 1 documentation and the process outlined in the tendering documentation, in order to select suppliers to progress to Stage 2. 2) Stage 2 – Invitation to Submit a Final Tender. Suppliers successful in being selected at Stage 1 (in line with the process as set out in detail in the tendering documentation) will be invited to submit a final tender, and will be scored in line with the award criteria and methodology set out within the tendering documentation for Stage 2. 3) Stage 3 - Stage 3 will commence with the issuing of presentation invitations to the top three scoring Suppliers at Stage 2 of the procurement process. The presentations shall require Suppliers to present an overview of their tender proposal, and address any specific clarifications raised by the Client on the content of their tender submission and responses to the award criteria. The Client may also raise questions in relation to how the Supplier would approach specific situations, in relation to the service. Presentations shall be an opportunity for the Suppliers taken forward to Stage 3 to further clarify their tender responses to the award criteria submitted at Stage 2 of the process.
