Status Details
The University of Wolverhampton is writing to inform you that it has decided not to proceed with the award of contract 26-07 Electrical and Data Installation under the current procurement process. Following completion of the evaluation, the University identified an inconsistency within the published procurement documentation concerning the minimum annual turnover condition of participation. The Tender Guidance Document and the mandatory pass/fail question within the e-tendering system stated a requirement of £10 million, while the published scoring methodology stated £5 million. As this was a material pass/fail requirement, the University has decided to terminate the current procurement to ensure that all suppliers receive clear and consistent information and are treated fairly and equally. No contract has been entered into, and a UK12 Procurement Termination Notice will be published. The University intends to publish a new competitive tender for this requirement. The replacement tender documentation will contain a single, clearly stated and proportionate financial-standing requirement. The new opportunity will be advertised through the e-tendering platform and will be open to the market. Suppliers wishing to participate will need to submit a new tender response once the opportunity is published; responses submitted under the terminated procurement cannot be carried forward automatically. We appreciate the time and effort suppliers have invested in the current process and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We hope you will consider participating in the replacement tender."
