Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is looking to procure an offsite or onsite confidential waste shredding service which is available to all approximately 300 collection points within BCUHB sites across North Wales. Sites include 3 main general hospital sites and over 100 community sites, based throughout the whole of North Wales. The tender will be awarded based on 60% cost & 40% quality as detailed in the ITT document. Please note that the tender closing date is 29/07/2026 at midday and any late submissions will not be considered. Following a review of the tender exercise, it has been identified that two material questions relating to consoles and bins were omitted from the published tender documentation. As a result, the Health Board is unable to undertake a consistent like-for-like comparison of the financial and commercial submissions received. The significant variation in the information provided by suppliers also indicates that there may have been differing interpretations of the requirements. Having carefully considered the position, the Health Board has concluded that proceeding with the current tender exercise and making an award decision would not provide sufficient assurance that the requirements had been understood and assessed consistently by all participating suppliers.
