An extension to the services may be granted when the initial term is coming to an end and the services across all lots continue to meet requirements and perform to a good standard. Extensions may also be used where there is an ongoing operational need, or to allow sufficient time to plan and complete a compliant re‑procurement without disrupting service delivery. The contract may be extended in defined increments (for example, an initial extension period followed by further optional extensions), up to the maximum duration set out in the tender documents.
