Opportunity overview

The Open Framework is intended to serve as a strategic vehicle for the efficient, legally compliant, and scalable procurement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies across the NHS and the wider Public Sector. This initiative recognises the transformative potential of AI in addressing current and emerging healthcare challenges, from improving diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making to streamlining operational processes. Through this Open Framework, Approved Organisations will be able to access cutting-edge AI solutions that are safe, interoperable, and tailored to meet local and national health priorities. The ultimate aim is to support the delivery of improved health outcomes for patients, empower healthcare professionals with advanced tools, and accelerate progress in medical research and innovation. No Engagement Notice Rationale
The Authority has carried out preliminary market engagement. A Prior Information Notice (P.I.N.) under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 was published on 17 January 2025 on the Find a Tender Service https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/001651-2025?origin=SearchResults&p=1) and a formal Request for Information (RFI) issued. Meetings with potential suppliers were subsequently held. In carrying out preliminary market engagement the Authority is satisfied that: (a) suppliers who participated in the preliminary market engagement have not been put at an unfair advantage, and (b) competition in relation to the award of the public contract is not otherwise distorted.
