Correction to previous contract award notice and further extension of the contract term. No changes to the services provided
Rationale
Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: This notice corrects and modifies the original contract award notice published on 9 July 2025. It also further modifies the contract by extending it for a further 24 month period. The original contract award notice should have been detailed as £31,692,740, which is inclusive of a 12 month extension period. Under Regulation 72(1)(b) PCR 2015 the Authority are further modifying the contract by extending it for a further 24 month period. The modification is necessary as: - the authority needs further services from this supplier to ensure a period of stability, as we prepare for controlled decommissioning and safe supported exit from these legacy services - it is not possible to change the contractor because of the important / unique speciality knowledge of the complex integrations, operational nuances and operational workarounds - it would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of costs for the authority and - the value of the modification does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract. As a result of this modification the new total contract value is £44,611,723.
