Rationale
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: This contract modification has been made due to extreme urgency arising from circumstances that were not reasonably foreseeable by NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board. The immediate need to secure additional Discharge to Assess Pathway 3 capacity, in order to support safe and timely hospital discharge, could not be met within the timescales required for a competitive procurement process. The Integrated Care Board has therefore relied on the urgent circumstances provision under Regulation 14 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This notice is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice. For the avoidance of doubt, the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply.
