Opportunity overview

The Welsh Government is seeking to engage with the market to inform the potential procurement of below threshold construction works relating to Demolition, asbestos and crushing works at the former Coney Beach Pleasure Park. The indicative scope may include (non exhaustive): • Soft Strip works • Asbestos Removal • Demolition works and sub station protection • Minor Building Works • Crushing and backfilling voids • Car Park formation • Waste Removal Final scope is subject to change following market feedback. This engagement is being conducted in accordance with sections 16 and 17 of the Procurement Act 2023 and is intended to help shape the scope, specification, delivery approach and commercial structure of any future procurement. This notice is not a call for competition and participation in this engagement will not be a condition of participation in any future tender process.

Engagement details: • Registration of Interest : March 2026 • Supplier briefing and Site Visit: Early April 2026 Suppliers are advised to: 1. Register company on Sell2Wales; and 2. Email commercialprocurement.buildings@gov.wales with the subject line: “PME Response – Former Coney Beach Pleasure Park and Fast food outlet structure demolition and enabling works" to register interest.
