Description
Award was made in what the relevant authority considered to be urgent circumstances. Modification effective from 5th March 2026 for provision of an additional 150 ADHD assessments to be completed by 31st March 2026. Maximum of £135,000 added to lifetime contract value.
Rationale
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: The award must be made urgently in order to achieve the objectives and outcomes of the contract for the impacted population. The reason for the urgency was not foreseeable by and is not attributable to the relevant authority, delaying the award of the contract to conduct a full application of the regime would likely pose a risk to patient or public safety as this would cause a material and significant delay which would result in non-provision of the service for the population. This will cause delays to assessment and treatment, and has potential for deterioration of those awaiting treatment.
