NERC priorities under this theme include: increase our power to predict environmental change; integrate geopolitical and environmental risks; build resilience in critical systems. During a recent consultation exercise participants identified that many key environmental issues affecting us are linked to climate change and the need to address the negative impacts of the climate crisis in areas such as food security, energy, waste management air and soil quality, climate inequalities and transport.
