Opportunity overview
This spend is essential as it allows for the following: 1. Increase online testing capacity for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to meet the high demand seen since launching the new service in April 2025; 2. Rollout of new nationally recommended doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis (doxyPEP) for the prevention of syphilis; 3. Enable the SH24 service to consult directly with service users receiving a reactive but non confirmatory result for blood borne viruses (HIV / hepatitis B or C) or when a safeguarding concern is raised.
