Rationale
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: Rationale for Contract Extension • Stability during Local Government Re-organisation(LGR) - it may be difficult to undertake a significant procurement exercise while the future structure and responsibilities of local government remain uncertain. • Continuity of service for young people - avoids disruption to existing placements and relationships. • Time to work collaboratively with providers -meaningful engagement can take place with providers to consider the future service model and ensure that any future commissioning arrangements are informed by provider experience and the needs of young people. • Income certainty - providers have another 12months of confirmed contractual arrangements rather than facing a new procurement exercise imminently. • Reduced administrative burden - providers will not have to invest time and resources in responding toa new procurement exercise in the immediate future. We will adhere to a 10 day standstill period for this modification commencing on Friday 11/09/2026 and ending at midnight on Monday 20/09/2026.
