Align Property Partners Ltd previously undertook the valuation of the Council’s property assets, and therefore already holds a detailed understanding of the asset base, historic valuation methodologies, supporting data and records associated with the portfolio. This existing knowledge provides significant operational advantages, including: Continuity and consistency with previous valuation work Efficiency in accessing and interpreting historical valuation information Reduced risk of inconsistencies in valuation assumptions or methodology Appointing an alternative supplier would require additional time and cost to familiarise themselves with the Council’s property portfolio and historical data before undertaking the work. This would likely increase the overall cost and duration of the exercise without delivering proportionate additional value.
