Opportunity overview
HSE require an 80 mm valve for an experimental programme. The valve must be suitable for liquid hydrogen service (down to 20 K) and have pneumatic actuation (open/closed). The valve should have an Ex d position indicator rated for ATEX Zone 1 suitable for hydrogen use. The valve should have flanged connections (ANSI class 300). The valve body should have a maximum allowable working pressure of 40 barg. There should be a section of 3" pipe with a 1/4" BSP boss, either welded between the valve and flange, or as a separate flanged section on ANSI class 300 flanges. Suitable gaskets and associated flange calculations must be provided. Nominal process conditions: Hydrogen, 50 - 70 K, 0 - 1.5 kg/s, 0 -12 barg The equipment is required for use at the HSE Buxton (SK17 9JN) test site. The equipment is required to be delivered before August 2026.
